ALL ABOUT MUSIC BOOSTERS

Washingtonville High School boasts a diverse community of sports, theater, music, and so much more. The music department is the one of the most versatile of them all ranging from the elegant sounds of student voices to the musical rhythms of drums. 

The Washintonville Music Booster Association directly supports the entirety of Washingtonville Central School District’s harmonious musical program. While hosting various fundraisers and volunteer activities, the Music Booster Club ensures that the music program will continue to thrive and enrich the youth in our community for years to come.  According to Washingtonville Central School District’s Website, “The Washingtonville School District Music Booster Club's goal is to ensure that our students will get the best possible music education experience that the WCSD can offer and to offer support to all musical programs in Washingtonville Schools.”

Supana Chareonlarp shared insight on who the music boosters are. “We are a group of friends, families, and parents of the young musicians here in Washingtonville Central School District that have come together to ensure music continues to flourish in our schools.” 

Through fundraising and volunteer work, the Music Booster Club supports the music program, its teachers, and every student involved with music in the Village of Washingtonville. With the fundraising money and various contributors, the Music Boosters purchase music pieces and instruments, provide variety of support for both winter and spring concerts, provide musical related financial support to students through awards and scholarships, all while assisting students with achieving their musical goals. 

To continue running the prosperous music programs here in Washingtonville, the Music Booster Association encourages the support from parents, alumni, and community members by joining the program and attending meetings on the first Tuesday of every month.
